アメリカでのリョウジの仕事について、皆さんからたくさんのコメントで質問をいただきました。そこで、この動画では、彼がアメリカでどのような仕事をしているのか、そしてそれをどのように実現しているのかをご紹介します。日本では柔道整復師として接骨院で働いていましたが、アメリカには柔道整復師がいません。そこで、彼の仕事をアメリカに持ってくることにしたとき、クリニックを持たずにどうやって仕事をするかを考えなければなりませんでした。そこで、車で患者さんのお宅に伺うことにしました。車に乗ったボディセラピーのようなものです。リョウジはまだ英語があまり得意ではないので、私が一時的に通訳として同行し、車の運転も行っています。
アメリカでは、薬を飲んだり、注射をしたりして痛みをごまかしていますが、痛みを根本から解決しているわけではありません。柔道整復師は、手術も薬も注射もせずに、体の痛みを癒すことができます。今、アメリカでは自然療法がブームになっていますが、これは従来の西洋式の健康法を試してみても効果がないからなのです。私たちの会社はOno Body Therapyといい、アメリカ人に日本の自然療法を伝えようとしています。

You guys asked us in the comments about Ryoji’s work in the U.S.A! So we made this video to show you what he does and how we are making it work here in America. In Japan, Ryoji worked as a Judo therapist in a clinic, but in America we don’t have Judo therapists. So when we decided to bring his job to the U.S.A, we had to figure out how we could make it work without a clinic. We decided to come to our clients homes by car! Kind of like body therapy on wheels. Ryoji doesn’t speak the best English, yet, so I am coming along with him to translate temporarily.
In the U.S. we take pills and get injections that mask the pain, but we aren’t tackling pain at its source. With Judo therapy, Ryoji can heal the body’s aches and pains without surgery. medicine, or injections. Natural healing is becoming very popular in America because people are trying traditional western style health practices, but they simply are not working for them. Our company is called Ono Body Therapy and we are trying to show Americans the art of Japanese natural healing!
